Hey, I'm currently taking a Spanish class for my freshman year. It's only Spanish 1 and my teacher is teaching us al the basics and stuff in Spanish. But I want to get really fluent in the language and I was thinking, do you guys know any sites that helps with learning Spanish? Any books or anything like that? I would lvoe to learn Spanish at a faster rate than what I'm learning now. Also, I really need to work on my pronunciations of the Spanish words. lol, it doesn't help with the Asian accent, but if you guys have any suggestions for improving that, that would be grate. Muchas gracias!
One suggestion I've heard is to just listen to spanish. A lot of bigger cities have at least one spanish radio station, or tv station(s). As for the pronounciation, that can just take time. I got lucky when I took Spanish because I'd been doing choir for ages, and the vowel pronounciation for Spanish is very close to Latin. (Spanish is a Latin-based language.) AH eh ee oh oo
Hope that helps a tad.
Yes! I've known Spanish since my very young days, but I learned most of it just by hearing it. We use it in the house, but I mostly learned from music and novelas. i think that would be your best bet. And when you dont understand it, you use words in context, by putting words you do know to use and try to figure out the words you dont. Also geting help from people who speek the language fluently, like me! Lol! But yeah, nothing works better than actually hearing it, especially to learn propper pronunciation.
Aww Chinky one, I really gotta hear Spanish with an Asian accent. seriously though, let me know if you need help.
Same here!
oh, and by the way, I also can read Spanish in Braille, so if you have any questions, i can help with that as well! I dont write it with accents, but I can read it!
the braille accents are easy. The spelling? not quite. Another suggestion is to communicate directly with the speaker. Spelling rules and dictionaries are all over the net nowadays, though by communicating witha native speaker you will get insight into different cultures and there might be more than one meaning for the same word depending on region. Sure enough most of us will be glad to help.
I love spanish but haven't taken it in a year so I'm relly rusty. I would love to brush up on it though and could help with spanish 1-3 I think.
Escribe a migo con preguntas en las clases!
lol hope thats right.
